Mud Pies and Fairy Dust

Our week at the cottage was a dream! It was a breath of fresh air and gave us an opportunity to just be. We didn't have to figure out schedules or get to appointments or go to meetings, etc. We were able to sit and be quiet. We were able to enjoy each other and slow down. We were able to spend the majority of the time outside! The weather was beautiful. Not too warm. No too cold. And beautifully sunny.

The girls loved making mud pies and splashing in mud piles. Mommy and daddy watched from a safe distance.

Then they got very cold rinse offs from the hose!

They both got so much better at independently riding their bikes!

We visited the local splash pad, farmers market, and playground!!

We had lots of cuddles and so much pie, ice cream, cookies and desserts.

We celebrated mommy and daddy's 10 year anniversary a little early with a fancy dinner and mini golf date!

We played fairies and got covered in fairy dust!

We are leaving with wonderful memories, some residual dirt in our hair, sleepy and sun-kissed and with a few tears in our eyes because we have to go home. Our time at the cottage is never long enough, but we hope to be back soon. Now on to two weeks of intense chemo therapy and then hopefully another break so we can come back to the cottage to rest and relax!
